Founder of Penarth Yoga Studio
I have taught Yoga for almost 15 years and practised for 30 years. Whether in the capacity of teacher or student, I learn from the people I am with.
I teach Yoga at beginner, general and intermediate levels. I teach Yoga for Pregnancy and have a continued relationship with many of these women in Baby Yoga and on to Yoga for Children and general Yoga. I teach people with learning difficulties and physical conditions such as cerebral palsy at SCOPE in Barry. I also teach people with Alzhiemer’s which offers the most wonderful sense of structure and calm to the mind that is becoming disorgansied.
In 1998, I graduated from Glamorgan University with a BSc Behavioural Sciences.
In 2000, I graduted from Brunel University with a MSc Medical Anthropolgy.
I have recently been taken on as Yoga Instructor for the Welsh Women’s Football Team, to aid with physical development and overall fitness and flexibility.
I am also teaching for Teenage Cancer Trust which I feel culminates all of my experience and expertise to date.
I teach to a high standard, always reflecting in action and on action. It is important for each participant to leave a yoga class feeling that they have exercised their bodies, sharpened and quietened their minds and released some daily tension which all result in a feeling of well-being; enhancing qualities such as improved breath, posture, confidence and a sense of satisfaction within. Sessions take all to their maximum potential whilst bearing in mind that we are all unique and have varying capacities to which we can practice.
